Good to know
Textured wall finishes, answered
It depends on the finish, the condition of the wall and the square footage. Limewash is the most budget-friendly mineral finish, while Venetian plaster and microcement sit at the premium end because of the material and the skilled, multi-coat application. Send your room sizes through the form and we'll put together a free, itemized quote.
For showers, splash zones and humid rooms we recommend sealed microcement or Tadelakt, both of which are water-resistant when properly finished. Sealed Venetian plaster also performs well outside direct-spray areas.
That's exactly why we offer it. Because the doors and the wall finish come from the same San Diego studio, we can match tones and texture so your walls and doors feel like one considered space rather than two separate purchases.
Usually, yes. Most projects begin with cleaning, repair and a stain-blocking primer. Smooth plasters like Roman clay need a flat surface, so heavy existing texture may need skimming first. We confirm this at the consultation.
A single feature wall is often completed in a day or two including cure time, while whole rooms and multi-coat plasters take longer. We'll confirm a timeline with your quote.
We work throughout San Diego and surrounding communities, and you're welcome to visit our showroom at 9484 Black Mountain Road. Mention your location in the form and we'll confirm coverage.
